RETTmobil 2025 – Innovation, exchange and the digital future of rescue services

The 23rd RETTmobil International in Fulda has once again shown why it is regarded as the leading trade fair for the rescue services: for three days, Fulda was all about state-of-the-art emergency technology, professional exchange and practical solutions for the future of emergency care. With around 33,000 trade visitors and 507 exhibitors from 27 countries, the trade fair was a complete success and an impressive meeting place for the international industry.

Once again this year, one of the main topics was the tele-emergency doctor – a digital innovation that is changing the rescue services in the long term. The use of telemedicine systems means that even remote regions can be reached more quickly and efficiently. The seamless transmission of medical data in real time – such as vital signs, ECGs, patient information and images – enables tele-EMS doctors to make informed decisions even before the patient reaches the hospital. Thanks to GPS-supported map views, free hospital slots can also be queried directly, making transport decisions much easier.

The current medDV projects in East Westphalia-Lippe, specifically in Bielefeld and Paderborn, are particularly impressive: tele-emergency doctor deployments have been successfully implemented there for over a year and a half – over 5,000 deployments speak for their practical suitability. There are now eight or more call-outs a day, so a second digital workstation has been set up. Care is guaranteed around the clock.

In addition, the collaboration with MIDES in the field of mobile ultrasound diagnostics has met with great interest. The connection of these technologies via the NIDA system shows how versatile and future-oriented the digital rescue chain has become.

RETTmobil 2025 made it clear that the path to networked, fast and safe emergency care is not only possible, but already a reality – thanks to committed partners, technical innovations and the intensive exchange at events like this one.
