Deutsche Telekom has featured medDV as a customer and partner. The customer story focuses on their collaboration and the digitization of the emergency response chain—from the initial alert to handoff at the hospital.

Since its founding, medDV has pursued the goal of making emergency care more seamless, faster, and safer. What used to consist of radio messages, paper documentation, and telephone handoffs is now a digital emergency response chain that connects emergency services, dispatch centers, and hospitals in real time.

With the NIDA system, emergency responders receive all relevant mission data digitally, document patient care directly at the scene, and transmit the information to the destination hospital even while en route. This allows the hospital to prepare optimally—from a reserved CT scan to a fully operational cardiac catheterization lab. Especially in time-critical emergencies such as heart attacks or strokes, this information advantage can be decisive.

A key component of this digital connectivity is a reliable cellular connection. Together with Deutsche Telekom, medDV relies on IoT cellular networks with roaming to ensure stable and secure data transmission even under challenging conditions.

Today, emergency medical services and hospitals in Germany and numerous other countries rely on medDV’s solutions. With over 600 connected hospitals and a strong market position, the company is continuously advancing its systems—from digital documentation and telemedicine to new possibilities for intelligent connectivity in emergency medical services.
